Attendance Permit Review and Renewal Process

INTER-DISTRICT PERMITS (students who reside in another school district)
  • Students who have been accepted on an inter-district permit from another district do not have to be re-released from the district of residence on an annual basis.
  • All permits are reviewed by schools in mid-Spring.  Students not meeting the criteria needed to maintain a permit will receive a warning letter from Bonita Unified School District in April.
  • Final decisions on all permits are made following the final report card in June.  At this time, all families will receive a letter from the Bonita Unified School District indicating whether the permit has been renewed, or will be revoked, for the following school year.
  • Permits may also be revoked by school administration at the end of a term (trimester or semester) if the criteria needed to maintain a permit are not being met.
