Criteria to Obtain or Maintain an Attendance Permit
ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS (Grades K-5)
a.Academics: Students shall be proficient or higher on formal assessments, including report cards and benchmarks and students shall be making reasonable progress toward grade level proficiency.
b.Behavior: The student shall have no suspensions in the prior three trimesters, shall have no more than three office visits in the prior three trimesters, and shall have no "N" citizenship marks on the most recent report card.
c.Attendance: The student shall have no truancies and shall have no more than an average of one full-day absence, part-day absence, or tardy per month in the prior three trimesters.
MIDDLE SCHOOLS (Grades 6-8)
a.Academics: The student shall have a grade point average no lower than 2.0 and shall have no failing marks on the most recent report card.
b.Behavior: The student shall have no suspensions in the prior three trimesters.
c.Attendance: The student shall have no truancies and shall have no more than ten absences in the prior three trimesters.
HIGH SCHOOLS (Grades 9-12)
a.Academics: The student shall have a grade point average no lower than 2.0 and shall have no failing marks on the most recent report card, and shall have sufficient credits to be on pace to graduate on time.
b.Behavior: The student shall have no suspensions in the prior two semesters.
c.Attendance: The student shall have no truancies and shall have no more than ten absences in the prior two semesters.
