INTER-DISTRICT PERMITS (students who reside in another school district)
Beginning with the 2011-2012 school year, students who have been accepted on an inter-district permit from another district do not have to be re-released from the district of residence on an annual basis.
All permits are reviewed by schools in mid-Spring. Students not meeting criteria needed to maintain a permit will receive a warning letter from Bonita Unified School District in April.
Final decisions on all permits are made following the final report card in June. At this time, all families will receive a letter from the Bonita Unified School District indicating whether the permit has been renewed, or will be revoked, for the following school year.
Permits may also be revoked by school administration at the end of a term (trimester or semester) if the criteria needed to maintain a permit are not being met.
