Dear Bonita Unified families,
I am thrilled to share that our long history of excellence at Bonita Unified has continued into the fall semester. In just a few months, our students have reached new academic milestones; dominated on the field, in the pool and on the courts; developed skills to pursue lucrative careers after high school; and built lasting bonds with their peers, teachers, and school communities.
The friendly rivalry between our Bonita and San Dimas high schools celebrated a new milestone this season with the inaugural Smudge Crown game, ushering in an exciting era of competition for our female athletes. In their first year of competition, both our girls flag football teams advanced to CIF play, joining the ranks of several other accomplished teams – including water polo, field hockey, football, tennis and volleyball – who advanced to CIF play after strong seasons. We wish our talented athletes the best of luck as they strive to earn titles and bring pride to their schools.
New opportunities abound in our career technical education program this fall, including new courses to enhance students’ skills through hands-on training and a series of visits from industry professionals who are providing valuable industry insight to our students. We are thankful to the professionals, employers and organizations that are supporting our efforts to equip students with the tools they need to thrive in the career of their choice.
These community partners – as well as our dedicated volunteers – play a vital role in fostering a safe, inspiring, and equitable learning environment. Their support ensures our students’ needs are met, allowing them to explore new pathways and embrace challenges throughout the school year.
As we enter this season of gratitude, let’s remember to celebrate the remarkable successes of our students and staff. Their dedication inspires us all and leads the way for a bright future. Together, we will continue to build on these achievements, fostering a nurturing environment where every student can achieve their full potential. I hope all of you enjoy a relaxing fall break!
