Bonita Unified School District provides a comprehensive package of employee benefits to all eligible employees. New employees are scheduled to meet with a representative from American Fidelity Assurance Company to choose their benefit plans and other products they may wish to add. The CalPERS Health Benefit Summary, which provides you a general overview of medical benefits and also the 2021 comparison rate sheet for these plans can assist you with your decision. The District does contribute to your health benefits according to your percentage of full time employment. This rate is listed on the Benefits rate sheet. Please keep in mind that Bonita USD deducts 10thly for your benefits. Addition of dependents due to marriage, birth or adoption of a child must be done within 30 days of the event. Eligibility verification will be required for dependents - birth and marriage certificates, social security numbers and/or tax returns are acceptable forms of proof.
Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance are offered to eligible employees. Enrollment occurs at the time of initial employment. To access dental or vision services, provide your social security number and date of birth to your dentist and eye doctor to confirm eligibility of insurance.
