CUPCCAA (informal bidding)
Public projects of seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) or less may be performed by the employees of a public agency by force account, by negotiated contract, or by purchase order. (b) Public projects of two hundred twenty thousand dollars ($220,000) or less may be let to contract by informal procedures. (c) Public projects of more than two hundred twenty thousand dollars ($220,000) shall be let to contract by formal bidding procedure. (d) If all bids received are in excess of two hundred twenty thousand dollars ($220,000), the governing body of the public agency may, by adoption of a resolution by a four-fifths vote, award the contract, at two hundred twelve thousand five hundred dollars ($212,500) or less, to the lowest responsible bidder, if it determines the cost estimate of the public agency was reasonable.

Prequalifications Over $1 Million
Notice is hereby given that the Bonita Unified School District is requiring contractors, with types identified below in the attached notice, to be pre-qualified prior to submitting a bid or proposal on any future District construction project with estimated value of One million dollars or more. This is an annual prequalification and a Contractor's prequalified status will remain current through June 30, 2026. The applications will open July 14, 2025 and will close August 15, 2025.
